The Utah Shakeout will be happening on Monday and officials say now is the time to prepare for an earthquake.
Darren Shepherd from Questar Gas spoke with Good Day Utah on Friday about how to take care of your utilities if an earthquake occurs.
He said there are only four reasons to shut off your gas meter.
- You hear a gas leak
- You smell it
- Structural damage to your home
- Questar makes a request
