Apple-Cheddar Quiche (04.19.12)

  • 1 large apple, shredded or diced
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup Gossner cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 (10″) quiche shell
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Gossner Whipping Cream
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Marinate apple in vinegar and sugar at least 1 hour. Drain. Sprinkle apple and cheese into bottom of quiche shell. Beat eggs, cream and nutmeg. Pour over apples and cheese. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes.
