The Utah Pride Center has set up a hotline for those who need help preventing bullying.
The “No Bully Hotline” is a resource for teens, parents and teachers who have questions about bullying issues.
Utah has no statewide system or policy in place on bullying; it’s left up to individual school districts and communities.
The hotline was created after more than 100 people attended a vigil in Ogden to call attention to the problem of bullying and suicide involving gay teens.
The hotline number is 801-580-7680 and will be answered between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily by a trained staff member or volunteer of the Utah Pride Center. Those with questions can also email nobully@utahpridecenter.org.
