Police looking for armed robbery suspect in Cottonwood Heights

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS — Police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store in Cottonwood Heights Friday afternoon.

Police say the suspect entered the Farmers Market at about 3:10 p.m., pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. They say the suspect took the money and ran out of the store to a car waiting on the street at 2600 E. Bengal Blvd.

Police are still looking for the suspect. He is described as a dark-skinned male in his 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing between 120 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and had his hair tied in a ponytail.
