PROVO, Utah — Five suspects have been arrested in connection with burglaries in Utah County.

While Provo Police investigated a storage shed burglary at 1600 South State Street on Friday, an officer noticed several additional storage sheds at the same location had been burglarized.

Police say a tracking device planted on one of the items in the storage shed helped them locate several suspects at a vacant home in Provo. James Pettus, Steven Frost, Marshall Dyer, Ete Seiulo, and Cassidy Broadhead were arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail.

“The suspects then returned later that day, stole that item as well. Officer Rassmusen then tracked that bug to a vacant home here in Provo,” said Provo Police Sgt. Brandon Post.

Police say the suspects were allegedly involved in drug activity, burglaries, thefts, and vehicle burglaries.

Police have more than 100 stolen items related to this case they are trying to get back to their owners.
