FARMINGTON, Utah — Crews have most of the flames knocked down in the Shepards Canyon wildfire above Farmington. As of 11 p.m. Thursday night, dispatch says firefighters were in the mop up stage putting out hot spots.
Earlier, homes on Bella Vista Dr. (2140 North 945 East) were threatened as flames moved down the hill. Given some assistance from the wind, firefighters kept the flames at bay along Firebreak Rd., preventing the fire from jumping over the road toward homes.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
