PAGE, Ariz. – Two people are dead after an accident in the San Juan arm of Lake Powell on Friday.
According to the National Park Service and San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, Russell Gallegos, 44, and Wendy Gallegos, 44, were riding on a personal watercraft when they were hit by their 15-year-old daughter, who was on another personal watercraft.
Russell and Wendy Gallegos, both of Fairview, N.M., were killed in the collision. Their 15-year-old daughter survived.
The accident is under investigation, but officials say no alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident.
