WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah – One man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Washington County Thursday afternoon.
The Utah Highway Patrol says witnesses saw a motorcycle traveling northbound on I-15 drive off the left shoulder and into the median, hitting a cable barrier near milepost 8 at around 2:25 p.m.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Investigators say there was a helmet at the crash scene, but it appears as if the man was not wearing a helmet and that it may have been attached to the motorcycle.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
