GARDEN CITY, Utah -- Waterfront property at Bear Lake is in high demand. Hotels fill up relatively quickly and a new resort aims at solving that problem, while creating a larger economic impact in Garden City.
Development leaders hope to make the Waters Edge a tourist destination sought out year round.
"A place where families just love to recreate and have a good time and build memories. And often times there's no hotel space, we don't really have a hotel here,” said Garden City Mayor Joe Spuhler.
Plans include an 84-room full service hotel, 70 privately owned condos, 40,000 square feet of commercial space and a 5,000 square foot conference center.
