Small 3.6 magnitude rumbles through central Utah

EMERY COUNTY, Utah — A small earthquake occurred in central Utah early Tuesday morning.

The University of Utah Seismograph Stations says the 3.6 magnitude quake started at about 4:27a.m. 12 miles northwest of Emery, Utah.

UUSS says the largest earthquake recorded in the area was a 5.1 magnitude temblor that occurred in 1962.

There were no injuries reported.
