SALT LAKE CITY – Rocky Mountain Power has proposed a rate increase.

In mid-October, rates will increase by $4.55 a month for the typical household, then in fall of 2013, there will be another increase of $2.48.

The proposal would prevent Rocky Mountain Power from asking for another rate increase before January 2014.

The Utah Public Service Commission will hold a hearing regarding the proposed increase later this month.
