ALTA, Utah - Alta Ski Resort is teaming up with some of the biggest resorts in the country to offer more skiing in more places all for one price.

For the 2012-2013 ski season, Alta is partnering with Aspen, Jackson Hole and Squaw Valley to offer a universal pass good for all four resorts.

"Aspen approached us last spring and just said, 'There are some cool mountains around that people aspire to, and we think that Alta is one of those,' and we said, 'Yeah,'" said Connie Marshall, Alta spokesperson.

The pass is $349 and good for the whole season. It offers two free days at each of the four resorts, so a total of eight ski days.

"If you start doing the math on that you've already bought the pass one and a half times over or something like that. And then unlimited half price skiing at all four mountains," said Marshall.

Marshall says the cooperation between the four resorts offers a unique opportunity that has opened up a lot of dialogue.
