SALT LAKE CITY — After swerving to avoid an obstacle on the road, a driver Tuesday morning lost control and crashed through several yards only to be stopped by an electrical pole guy wire.
Unified Police said that a 33-year-old woman traveling westbound on 4500 South and 978 East swerved to avoid the obstacle and in doing so went into oncoming traffic. Police say she swerved again the opposite way resulting in the car crashing through the front yards of several homes, destroying mail boxes, garbage cans, and a stop sign before being stopped by a guy-wire that lifted the front end of the vehicle.
UPD spokesman Justin Hoyal said the driver was uninjured. He says there was an estimated $2,000 worth of damage.
