A man faces a second charge of failure to stop at the command of a police officer after he allegedly fled from the courtroom where he answered to the first charge.
Lt. Justin Hoyal of the Unified Police Department said a judge asked a bailiff to take the suspect, 26-year-old Clint Winward, into custody. Hoyal said Winward then fled the scene, forcing police to set up a containment area to locate him.
Police swiftly captured Winward, who was not armed. Two schools in the vicinity were briefly placed on lockdown. No one was hurt.
