A statement released Thursday on the website for restaurant management company Sizzling Platter indicates the company plans to open 16 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Salt Lake City.
The first restaurant is planned to open in 2013 and the remaining 15 restaurants are planned to open by 2018.
The multi-unit store development agreement was made with existing franchisee Sizzling Donuts, LLC.
“We are excited to expand Dunkin’ Donuts’ presence in Salt Lake City and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here,” said Mitchell Lowe, Sizzling Platter’s General Counsel and vice president of development in the statement.
The announcement did not indicate any specific addresses or neighborhoods for the new restaurants.
