A poll conducted by a survey and market research company in Provo shows the top contenders for Utah's 4th District are tied.

Democratic candidate Jim Matheson and Republican candidate Mia Love each have 43% of the vote, according to a poll conducted by Key Research earlier this month.

The poll was conducted between October 9 and 13. 500 voters were sampled from the state's file of active registered voters. 100 voters were sampled from each of Utah's four districts, with an additional 100 oversampled from the 4th District.

Voters were also asked to list their choices for President, U.S. Senate, Governor and the other three districts. Poll participants favored the Republican candidates in each of those races.

The 4th District poll had a margin of error of plus or minus seven percentage points.
