The average date of the first measurable snow in the Salt Lake Valley is November 6. We very likely won’t have to wait that long this year. In fact, it could happen in the next day or two! Besides the mountains, this latest storm brought snow to parts of the Northern Wasatch Front as well as far northern Utah. As cold air continues to spill in over the next couple days, snow levels will keep dropping. That means there could be blanket of white in Salt Lake by Thursday morning.
