Utah’s water year (the12 month measurement of precipitation) began on October 1st. Last year was extremely dry, but this one is off to a great start! A couple big fall storms brought a lot of rain and snow to the state over the last couple weeks. In Salt Lake City, there was 1.53 inches of precipitation during October … the average is 1.52 inches. So we’re right where we should be for this time of year!
