SALT LAKE CITY – The man who played Ebenezer Scrooge in the Hale Centre Theatre production of A Christmas Carol since 1985 has died.
Richard Wilkins, 59, collapsed at his Provo home the day after Thanksgiving and was rushed to the hospital. He died on Monday.
Wilkins became assistant to the Solicitor General of the United States after graduating from law school in 1979 and was a prominent international figure in the defense of the traditional family. Wilkins was also a law professor at Brigham Young University.
