KAYSVILLE, Utah – A basketball coach at Fairfield Jr. High in Kaysville died Monday after he collapsed during a game.
David Milius was an assistant coach for the girl’s basketball team. He was coaching the team during a home game against Sunset Jr. High Monday afternoon when he collapsed just before halftime.
Milius reportedly died after he was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Milius had served as the assistant coach for two games. He was also a part-time special education teacher assistant at Northridge High School. He was 65.
Grief counseling was provided for students and faculty members at Fairfield Jr. High, Sunset Jr. High and Northridge High.
