OGDEN, Utah — The Ogden Police believe the two men who allegedly carried off a brazen jewelry theft in Ogden may have committed similar crimes in Maine.

According to the Ogden City Police Department, the Ogden theft matches with two crimes committed in Maine in 2010. The suspects in that case made away with $125,000.

Police said the two suspects walked into a Morgan Jewelers at the Newgate Mall, located at 3651 Wall Ave #1024, during business hours, cut open the display case, put the contents in a shopping bag and walked out.

The suspects have been described as black men in their 40s, one between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches and the other between 6 feet and 6 feet 1 inch tall. The two are believed to have left the scene in a maroon 2004-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix.
