Police investigating SLC tanning salon robbery

Posted

SALT LAKE CITY — Police investigate a robbery at a Salt Lake City tanning salon.

It happened just after 10 p.m. Monday at the Golden Tan near 3100 South and Highland Drive.

Police said a man threatened employees with a knife and demanded money. After one of the workers handed over cash, police said the man told her to get on the ground and he took off.

“It looked like maybe some of the money was dropped as he was running away,” said Lt. Carl Merino, Salt Lake City Police. A K-9 unit also searched the area.

Police have only a vague description to go on. They are looking for a white man in his mid to late 20s, around six feet tall with brown hair.
