Salt Lake Co. mayor seeks diverse advice

Posted

SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah — Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams invited Salt Lake County residents to volunteer on the many advisory boards serving the county.

The advisory boards cover issues ranging from arts and recreation to transportation, and those who volunteer can work on a flexible schedule.

McAdams said the call for volunteers is rooted in his belief that he can be a better mayor when he has advice and input from a wide range of people.

“I believe there is strength in diversity,” McAdams said. “That is why we’re seeking a broad mix of ages, skills, geographic locations, incomes, and ethnicity and backgrounds for people who will serve on our boards and commissions.”

McAdams said the unpaid positions will offer volunteers priceless interactions with members of the community. Click to learn more or to apply to one of the advisory boards.
