SALT LAKE CITY -- Representatives for some of the most recognized brands in the world came to Salt Lake City for a conference about marketing in the digital era.
Big-name brands like Adobe, Skullcandy, Twitter and Coca-Cola showed up at the Adobe Digital Marketing Summit on Wednesday.
Adobe holds the summit in Utah every year, and it's grown to more than 5,000 people who will pour an estimated $10 million into the local economy.
But Adobe's influence is having a more profound long-term effect.
"Salt Lake City is becoming a very tech central hub. Obviously Adobe kind of paved that path being here. I've heard a lot more companies are starting to come into this space," said Michelle Calixte, Keystone Solutions.
Adobe employs 800 people at its new Utah County facility, and plans to hire another 2,000 in the coming year.
Other tech companies like Ebay and Twitter are following in Adobe's footsteps and opening facilities in Utah.
"The state of Utah has done a fantastic job of bringing in and attracting capital and innovation necessary to take that capital and grow from there. And a lot of it has to do with the great talent that is available locally," said Aseem Chandra, vice president of digital marketing for Adobe.
The Adobe Digital Marketing Summit is designed to learn new strategies to reach people. And when it comes to selling Utah, marketers say they're already sold.
