SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store store Monday morning.

The suspect entered the 7-Eleven store at 1353 Indiana Ave at about 1 a.m., brandished a knife, took money from the register and fled south. The clerk was not harmed.

“Detectives will take the [surveillance] video, get some suspect information. And, very often, the people we have that do this are people that have done it before. And maybe they’ll be able to recognize the suspect on tape or get an informant to tell them who it is,” said Lt. Craig Gleason, Salt Lake City Police Department.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Salt Lake City police at (801) 799-3000.
