Lacey Alexa Falwell was being combative with a loss prevention officer and several witnesses, according to a police report. The incident occurred at Macy’s, located at 6191 South State St.

When police arrived on the scene they found witnesses coughing and struggling to see. Witnesses told police that Falwell had sprayed pepper spray into their eyes and into the general vicinity between the doors that exit the business.

Falwell told police she had stuffed multiple articles of clothing into her purse, and she said she was stopped by loss prevention as she exited the store. When she was confronted she used the pepper spray, which hit the loss prevention officer as well as others in the area.
