SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah — Three men were able to ski away from the scene of an avalanche near Mount Superior Monday morning.
The avalanche was triggered at 11:26 a.m. by one or more members of the group, according to Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal.
A fire official who responded to the scene checked one of the men for a shoulder injury, but the victim would most likely not be taken to a hospital, Hoyal said.
The avalanche occurred in the backcountry area between Snowbird and Alta.
