SALT LAKE CITY - Salt Lake City police are asking for help locating more potential victims of an admitted child sex offender.
40-year-old William Estell has been behind bars since last November for lewdness involving a child after an alleged incident in the laundry room of an apartment complex on north Redwood Road in Salt Lake City.
Detectives say Estell has admitted to victimizing other kids over the last two decades, but he doesn't remember who those kids are and when the abuse occurred.
Now police are hoping more victims step forward.
"Yeah, the detectives wouldn't put this out there if they didn't feel there may be more victims," said Salt Lake City Det. Veronica Montoya.
Police now say the northwest side of Salt Lake City is where Estell has been living and allegedly sexually abusing kids for the last two decades.
"He lived in Salt Lake City, the Rose Park and Glendale areas, apartment complexes," Montoya said.
Anyone with information about Estell or potential victims is asked to contact Salt Lake City police at 801-799-3000.
