UINTAH COUNTY, Utah — Two men who were reported missing in the Book Cliffs area of Uintah County were found unharmed Tuesday.
Joey Draper and Kyle Wilkerson, both 21, had left the Altamont area around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday to look for antlers.
When they didn’t return before dark Monday night, their parents contacted the Uintah County Sheriff’s Department. A search and rescue team was dispatched Tuesday morning in an effort to locate the missing men.
The search and rescue team located the vehicle Draper and Wilkerson had been using shortly before noon Tuesday near the Flat Rock / Willow creek area.
Draper and Wilkerson were found about 30 minutes later.
Chief Deputy John Laursen from the Uintah County Sheriff’s Department said it appeared their vehicle got stuck and they spent the night in it.
