LEHI, Utah – A triathlete, cancer survivor and founder of the Hess Cancer Foundation has died.
Travis Hess lost his father, brother and 3-year-old daughter Alexis to cancer. When he received an anonymous donation to pay for Alexis’ funeral, Travis decided to start the Hess Cancer Foundation to help families like his own.
Travis Hess, who was a cancer survivor himself, ran triathlons to help raise awareness for his foundation.
Funeral services were held for Hess on Friday afternoon.
FOX 13 talked to Travis last year about the foundation and about his triathlons. You can read it here.
