This week has been a typical week, if there is such a thing. I didn’t have any problems with food. I was able to get my workouts done, both cardio and weight training, and I felt good!
One thing that I did notice this week was the ability to move without pain and without having to deal with a lack of motivation. In the past if I would have to walk somewhere I would be pretty concerned with the distance, but this week I did a lot of walking without any hesitation. I went to my daughter’s softball game and helped out at a family funeral—both of which kept me on my feet for long periods of time.
These are things I have done before, but there is a difference now. I am not sitting down and taking breaks due to pain in my back or a lack of energy. It’s a good feeling, and the ability to keep up with my kids in any activity and not be out of breath is refreshing. It definitely motivates me to keep working hard.
In the past something as simple as walking up a flight of stairs might leave me panting for breath. Many times when I wanted a drink of water or something like that I would tell one of my kids to go get it for me, but now I don’t have to worry about either of those things. It’s exciting to see the small ways losing weight is improving my life.
I’m getting smaller all of the time as well. The clothes I recently bought no longer fit me, and I will have to have them altered so I can wear them for a while longer.
My next doctor’s visit is next week, and I can’t wait to see my results! Thank you for all the support.
