Former Utah Jazz Coach Jerry Sloan wants to revive his coaching career, according to a sports reporter for the Journal Times, a newspaper in Racine, Wisconsin.
“I talked to a couple of friends of Jerry Sloan’s within the past couple of days, he definitely wants to return to coaching, and the other interesting facet is that he wants to coach in the small markets, one similar to Utah, so I think Milwaukee qualifies as that kind of environment,” reporter Gery Woelfel said in an interview with WSSP SportsRadio 1250 in Milwaukee.
Woelfel was talking about potential replacements for former Milwaukee Bucks coach Jim Boylan, whose coaching contract was not renewed after the 2012-13 season.
Sloan, 71, coached the Utah Jazz between 1988 and 2011.
