SALT LAKE CITY - A Salt Lake Community College softball player saved a swimmer from drowning in southern Idaho last Saturday.

The softball team had just beaten the College of Southern Idaho for a fifth straight year and were swimming in Dierkes Lake when a man started yelling for help.

Bruins' catcher Megan Bradshaw is also a lifeguard and says her instincts kicked in.

The man's legs had cramped, but she was able to safely bring him to shore.
