CACHE COUNTY, Utah – Cache County will soon adopt new emission testing standards for vehicles as part of a push to clean up the area’s air quality.
The measure was passed on a 5-2 vote by the Cache County Council, and the change is expected reduce pollutants in the air by between 3 and 5 percent.
Cache County has seen some of the worst air pollution in the state in recent years. The emissions testing program is expected to be in place by the end of the year.
