Utah unemployment rate lowest since Nov. 2008

SALT LAKE CITY – New numbers from the Utah Department of Workforce Services show unemployment in the state is getting lower.

Utah’s job growth in April was 3.5 percent, more than double the national average.

Unemployment in Utah fell from 4.9 percent to 4.7 percent, which is more than two percent lower than the national average, and Utah’s lowest unemployment rate since Nov. 2008.
