WILLARD BAY, Utah – The Division of Wildlife Resources says the fish in Willard Bay are safe to eat after a Chevron pipeline leaked thousands of gallons of diesel fuel into some nearby wetlands in mid-March.

DWR scientists netted 15 fish from the bay and took samples to a lab, and the results say there is no diesel in the fish.

The Department of Health also ran tests, and they say there are only trace concentrations of diesel in Willard Bay. They expect those to break down.
