Police looking for suspect in attempted Sugar House shop robbery

SALT LAKE CITY – Police in Salt Lake City are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect who attempted to rob an ice cream shop in Sugar House.

At around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, the suspect walked into the Maggie Moo’s store near 1100 East and Wilmington, pulled out a knife and demanded money.

Employees called police and the man ran off without getting any money.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, between 5-foot-10-inches and 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a maroon hoodie, blue jeans and a red baseball cap with a black and white bill.
