WEST VALLEY CITY – West Valley City is holding elections for several positions, and the candidate filing period is now open.
Elections will be for mayor, council member at large, district 2 council member and district 4 council member. Each position is a 4-year term. The municipal election will take place November 5. If enough candidates are in the race, a primary election will be held August 13.
Those interested in seeking election must file with the city. The filing period began Saturday and continues through June 7.
