OGDEN - The Ogden City Fire Department and to Weber County Firefighter are participating in summer training.

The training will include actual fires and realistic scenarios that firefighters may encounter in a factual incident.

“These exercises allow us to utilize the independent skills we've been developing during the winter months and incorporate them into a county-wide effort. It gives departments the chance to train together before we respond collectively on an actual incident,” said Ogden City Battalion Chief Ryan Perkins.

In addition, Ogden City, six counties and eight hospitals participated in a mock-casualty functional exercise that took place Wednesday, May 29, to evaluate northern Utah's capability to responding to a mass fatality emergency situation.
