SALT LAKE CITY – More than 7,000 Utahns will receive a check this month for just under $1,500 following the settlement of a legal case regarding foreclosures.
People who were foreclosed on between 2008 and 2011 who submitted a claim to Bank of America, Chase Bank, Wells Fargo, Ally or Citi Bank and then made a claim through the National Mortgage Settlement will receive a check.
The banks are accused of signing foreclosure related documents without knowing whether the information was correct.
