PAYSON, Utah — Charges against a volunteer football coach accused of assaulting a teenage player during a little league game have been dropped.
Nathan Harris was accused last October of stepping onto the field and knocking down a 13-year-old player from the other team who was running toward the end zone. The teen was allegedly hospitalized with a concussion.
Harris was charged with assault by the Payson City Attorney’s Office, but the charges were dismissed Friday. Attorneys said there were inconsistencies in the charging documents related to the case.
