UINTA COUNTY, Wyo. - Two Boy Scouts were injured during a scouting event Thursday in Wyoming.

The Boy Scouts were at the Varsity Big Event at the Hinckley Scout Ranch, located about 30 miles south of Evanston, Wyo.

Rick Barnes with the Great Salt Lake Council of Boy Scouts says that about noon Thursday, high winds downed a tree at the camp, and a 14-year-old Scout was hit.

There were EMTs and doctors among the adult leaders at the camp, and they provided immediate medical attention. Emergency crews responded and the boy was transported via medical helicopter to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City.

He suffered a broken leg, broken arm and head injury. Barnes says he is expected to recover.

Another Boy Scout broke his wrist on a climbing wall. He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover.
