Man shot, injured at SLC gas station

SALT LAKE CITY-- A man is in the hospital after he was allegedly shot while sitting in his parked car early Monday morning.

Police officers said they received a call about the incident at 1:30 a.m. The victim said he had been shot while in his car at a 7-Eleven gas station at 961 West and Fremont Avenue.

Officers said the victim was taken to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.

"We observed that he was shot in the torso," said Lt. Tyrone Farillas of the Salt Lake City Police Department. "How many times he was shot we don't know, but he was shot in the torso."
