PROVO — A large diesel truck leaked several hundred gallons of diesel fuel at a Provo construction site Tuesday.
The truck was at the site of the new Nuskin building under construction at 27 S Freedom Blvd.
Provo City Fire Department personnel initiated the cleanup before turning it over to a private contractor.
Capt. Dean York, Provo City Fire Department, said some of the leaked fuel went down a storm drain.
“There was about 100 gallons of fuel into the storm drain, we mitigated that by putting a dirt dyke, stopping it from more fluid loss,” he said. “[We] Notified the health department as well as the water systems, so they knew it was coming so they could keep the cleanup on that end.”
There were no injuries reported.
