Arthur Boorman was a paratrooper in the gulf war, and after several injuries and many jumps he was medically discharged. He gained a lot of weight, and was using braces and canes to move around.
This went on for many years, and doctors told him he would never walk unassisted again. But Boorman didn’t listen.
Boorman threw himself into yoga, despite being told by many potential teachers that they couldn’t help him. He found a teacher and got started. He said he fell many, many times, but he lost more than 100 pounds and regained his mobility. His inspirational story has gone viral.
A YouTube video detailing his progress has nearly 10 million views.
On Saturday he came to Good Day Utah to talk about his journey and why people should never, ever give up.
