PARK CITY – An au pair from Colombia may face deportation after she was charged with a third-degree felony for allegedly failing to yield to officers.
The alleged incident occurred late Saturday night on Interstate 40.
According to Summit County Sheriff’s Capt. Justin Martinez, UHP officers attempted to make a felony stop on 25-year-old Diana Marino Duarte because she was driving very slowly.
Duarte pulled over at the next exit and was arrested. Kasey Ring, Duarte’s employer, said Duarte was booked into the Summit County Jail for multiple driving violations and fleeing the scene.
The Summit County Jail has a policy to contact Immigration and Customs Enforcement when someone from another country is booked.
