SALT LAKE CITY -- Fire crews quickly extinguished a brush fire that came close to the University of Utah Medical Center Monday night.
About 40 firefighters responded to the 15 acre blaze and they were able to get it under control within one hour.
"There's always challenges in brush fires like this. It's a steep slope, it's difficult to get up to the fire, it's difficult to get water up to the fire," said Jasen Asay, Salt Lake City Fire Department.
Investigators have determined the fire was human-caused and was likely the result of fireworks.
