FARMINGTON, Utah -- Residents in Farmington are worked up over what they say is unclean water in their homes.
Residents said since Farmington switched to a new water source, they have noticed more smelly, dirty water coming out of their faucets.
Resident Tyler Seamons lives down the street from the city's newest water source. He said he has seen a dramatic change in his water since the pumps were turned on at the beginning of July.
"Went to draw a shower, turned on the shower, and immediately the water was just stinky," Seamons said. "It didn't go away, that night we had the kids take a bath and we drew a nice big bath of water and it was yellow like diluted beer or something. It was yellow yellow."
Residents said city officials told them that the water is safe and should clean up in a few days. The city plans to continue to use the new well house to meet the demands of the growing population of Farmington.
FOX 13 has tried to contact Farmington City officials regarding the issue. We'll update with the latest details as soon as they become available.
