Some Kaysville residents warned not to drink water

KAYSVILLE, Utah – Some Kaysville residents have been notified not to drink their water after samples show it may have coliform in it.

The city is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible by continuing to sample, search for cross connections and isolating the area.

Lori Peterson, resident of one of the 260 homes told not to drink water, says she’s been drinking bottled water since being notified on July 3.

“I ran up to the stores grabbed a couple of jugs of water and thought the problem would be resolved. I looked on the city’s website and didn’t see any information. So I called them the next morning to find out if it had been resolved since it had been a while and they told me it wasn’t,” Peterson said.

Since then, Peterson says the city has been keeping everyone updated by putting notices on her door and updating the website.
