SALT LAKE CITY – Salt Lake County leaders are creating long-term plans for Big Cottonwood, Little Cottonwood and Parley’s Canyons, and they’re asking for public input.
Each plan will be divided into three main sections: community values and goals; best practices; and programs and projects. The plans will be based on input from workshops and community meetings.
Dozens of residents attended a meeting on Wednesday night to voice their opinions.
“The development needs to be curtailed and limited to protect our watershed and to protect the diverse interests of backcountry users,” said Ulrich Brunhart.
The next public open house is scheduled for Thursday, August 9.
